In my hometown I have been a longtime member of a group that works to enhance opportunities for success in our creative community. We are called the Chilliwack Creative Commission. We meet several times a year and our official mandate is to attract and facilitate economic growth in the emerging creative sector, including film, interactive and digital media. I am the current chair of the group's Creative Third Thursdays committee. We started this monthly meetup to get creative people in the same room with others and to see what conversations or collaborations result. We are fortunate in that the other committee member is a long time friend of mine. He owns Studio C, a video content creation and live streaming studio.
